Claude Russell Style, the New York-based stylist and designer, has announced a collaboration with fast-fashion brand SHEIN as a part of the latter’s SHEIN X program.
SHEIN X allows up-and-coming designers to do what they do best—create—while SHEIN handles manufacturing, marketing, and selling. It's the best of both worlds: the company gets to discover new talent while emerging artists get to design the collection of their dreams. The impact: to empower the next generation of designers by giving them global exposure to SHEIN’s millions of customers while these creators keep the profits and ownership of their works.
Russell's designs are highly influenced by his experiences as a Jamaican immigrant and DACA recipient — growing up, living, and working in every New York City borough. This NYC-inspired collection of menswear pieces will include eye-catching trousers, coats, jumpsuits and shirts, including a special tribute to Russell’s dog, Nada, who is also an immigrant.
