SPACEMOB, in association with Marin Group Productions, is developing a new true crime TV show titled Nobody Knows My Name. Starring Todd Mathews, the show will feature the real life stories behind the cases you see in the files of NamUs and The Doe Network. Todd Matthews, currently the Executive Director at The Doe Network and the former Director of Case Management & Communications for NamUs at the U.S. Department of Justice, will be an executive producer on the show.
The United States currently has an extensive, growing backlog of unidentified human remains from murder and accident victims, as well as missing persons, for a total of approximately 40,000 since statistics started being kept. Medical Examiners and Coroners’ Offices receive an estimated 4,400 unidentified bodies annually, and each one has a story to tell. SPACEMOB Executive Producer/Showrunner Eric Keith says that the goal of the series is to "highlight the stories of these missing and unidentified people, help give them their names back, and finally bring them home."
"I'm so excited about doing this show," Matthews said. "Viewers will be quickly drawn into these cases and care about each individual. My ultimate hope is that family members and loved ones will be able to interact with us and provide information that may help resolve some of these cases going forward, because we never give up on any of them."
Nobody Knows My Name is currently in pre-production, with production on approximately 10 episodes slated to begin in early 2023. Patricia Marin, President of Marin Group Productions, created the original concept and will also serve as an Executive Producer on the show.
