The Grisly Pear, a New York City comedy club noted for hosting some of the biggest names in standup, as well as for being prominently featured on HBO's Crashing, today announced the launch of its new location in Midtown. Like the original Greenwich Village location, The Grisly Pear Midtown Comedy Club, also known as "The Dojo," allows patrons to enjoy top national and local comics in a perfectly curated lineup, while eating some of New York City's best donuts.

“For the last three years, the owners of The Grisly Pear's downtown location have been searching for the perfect spot to open a second venue," said Kenny Warren and Gabe Dorado, the founders of The Grisly Pear Midtown Comedy Club. "The Midtown comedy club is just that."

Some of the comedians who have performed at The Grisly Pear include Carol Zoccoli, Anna Bianco, Kareem Green, Sam Morrison, and Saturday Night Live's Marcello Hernandez. It has even earned the nickname "The Dojo" thanks to its reputation as a place where up-and-coming comedians show off and hone their skills.

In addition to the talent, The Grisly Pear is also popular for its great food. The menu offers massive burgers and sandwiches, bar favorites like wings, empanadas, and scotch eggs, as well as brunch selections.

Opening on Friday, November 11th at 243 West 54th Street in Manhattan, the Grisly Pear Midtown Comedy Club will offer some of the best names in comedy, as well as a specialty food menu, craft cocktails, and more in a classy new building adorned with pictures of comedy greats.
