TASTE of Success Coaching, founded by ADHD and life coach Larry A. Jones, MD, MBA, AACC, today announced that Jones received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) at the Annual International Conference on ADHD, November 17–19, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. The largest ADHD conference in the world, the Annual International Conference on ADHD was a joint conference by CHADD, ADHD Coaching Organization (ACO), and Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA).
Dr. Jones has been regarded as the first African American of noted authority to talk about ADHD in minority communities. He was honored for his tremendous impact on raising such awareness. “The stereotypes of ADHD have been particularly daunting for children of color in public and private educational spaces, requiring the constant diligence of parents to prevent inappropriate treatment and mislabeling,” he said.
The award recipient and his wife, Audrey, co-authored Falling Through the Ceiling: Our ADHD Family Memoir, chronicling the journey of their three sons with ADHD from childhood to adulthood. Their lived experiences and the lessons learned contribute toward increased awareness of the condition.
