Industry Veteran From PubMatic, Publishers Clearing House, and Zoom to Deliver Revenue Driving Advisory Focused on Product Positioning and Enterprise Growth
MadTech Advisors, a product-led consultancy at the intersection of privacy, data, identity, and compliance in programmatic and adtech, today announced the appointment of Heather Macaulay as President. A seasoned advertising and product marketing executive, Heather will partner with MadTech founder and CEO Bob Walczak to oversee revenue growth, marketing, and product strategy.
Macaulay is a proven industry veteran who has held various executive-level roles, including serving as Global Head of Ads Monetization at Zoom and as Head of Revenue, Programmatic & Data Strategy at Publishers Clearing House. She will leverage her background as a revenue leader and expert in emerging media and technologies, delivering for MadTech’s roster of brand and publisher clients a cutting-edge perspective on dynamic product positioning and sustained enterprise growth.

During Macaulay’s tenure at Publishers Clearing House, she oversaw the media division’s programmatic and sales efforts that accounted for the company’s largest revenue channel. In her previous remit as Head of Revenue, Macaulaly delivered significant growth in digital ad revenue within her first year, while simultaneously hiring and managing multiple revenue teams across performance sales, programmatic, account management, and sales marketing.
At PubMatic, Walczak and Macaulay led the company’s early mobile and emerging media business as General Manager / VP of Product and Global VP, Emerging Media, respectively. Together, they accelerated PubMatic’s growth from pre-revenue to a run rate of more than $100 million by the end of 2014. As of Q2 2022, mobile and video represented 72% of PubMatic’s total revenue, owing in part to the systems, processes, and teams that Walczak and Macaulay helped establish.

Macaulay also has extensive experience in advisory and academic capacities, having served as an adjunct professor at the New York University, School of Continuing and Professional Studies, where she taught an introductory course on mobile marketing. She also served as Co-Chair, Fundraising for Women in Wireless between 2011 and 2012, and as Co-Head, Boston Chapter of mBolden from 2019 to 2021.
