Lily’s List, an organization that works with pediatric patients that have a need for home health nursing, today announced that they are participating in GivingTuesday, joining millions around the world participating virtually in the global generosity movement on November 29th, 2022. Lily’s List will inspire generosity by reinventing our GivingTuesday Model and support families with medically fragile children.

In 2019, the Lily’s List founders dove head first into their first GivingTuesday Campaign in hopes of spreading their daughters' light across the world. For three years, they participated in Q&A forums and donothons to inspire radical generosity. Over those three years, Lily’s List was able to raise $25,000 to help families with medically fragile children have a smooth hospital-to-home transition.

In efforts to help its donors have the ability to give, but also shop for Christmas, Lily’s List developed GivingTuesday Reinvented, holding its first virtual auction in which all proceeds went to helping families with medically fragile children.

“Every dollar donated is equal to a sigh of relief from parents who are running an intensive care unit from their home," said Jess Wolfe, a Love Box recipient and Lily's List board member. "Raising a medically fragile child is difficult for many reasons, but having the support of Lily’s List in the transition home is priceless.”

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people they care about, or giving to causes they care about, every act of generosity counts. GivingTuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and gets 21 billion impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.

"GivingTuesday inspires people all around the world to embrace their power to drive progress around the causes they care about, not just on one day but throughout the year." said Asha Curran, GivingTuesday’s CEO, and co-founder. "With country and community leaders, millions of organizations, and countless givers of all kinds, GivingTuesday is creating a shared space where we can see the radical implications of a more generous world."
