E-Technologies Global, experts in collecting state sales taxes from online transactions, has launched its U.S. division. The company’s unique technology allows states to raise more tax revenue, without having to raise taxes overall.
“In the past, our technology helped online gambling platforms operate under the radar evading compliance and taxation. Now, we have retooled our technology to help countries and states to better identify, track, and collect sales taxes on online transactions—something governments are not equipped to do,” said founder John Sickles. “We estimate country and state governments are collecting less than 35% of total taxes due.”
The company’s tech allows states to collect tax revenue from online transactions such as online gambling, gaming, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals. This technology also enables states to collect a much higher level of sales tax from online transactions, and collect those from the point of sale.
