DJ Reader, the Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle and founder of A Son Never Forgets (ASNF), today announced a partnership with Cincinnati's Shroder High School for the inaugural “Reader Resource Room” initiative in honor of his late father, David Reader Sr. To commemorate the partnership, DJ Reader is hosting his inaugural bowling event to benefit ASN. The bowling event will be held at Main Event in 9477 Oxford Way, West Chester Township, Ohio on Monday, November 7th, where fans and sponsors are invited to attend from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The goal of the initiative is to help students who are impacted by situations outside of their control that alter their academic plans. Regardless of the hardships that these students experience, the focus of the resource room is to provide students with essential care and information that supports student success. Each school resource room will be completely unique to the needs of their community, but all will be stocked with basic essentials.

In addition to the resource room, the foundation will host a back-to-school drive prior to the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Students will be provided with back-to-school essentials necessary to return to school ready and equipped for a successful academic year. The initiative will impact the lives of more than 700 students. Students will also receive health, dental and eye screenings. Reader launched the foundation to promote health and wellness by providing information, services, resources, and activities to impact and support sustainable communities.

“I understand the kind of impact a single individual can make in the lives of those in a community,” says Reader. “I want to leverage my platform to honor my father, and to help my adopted hometown of Cincinnati attain affordable housing, as well as other health and wellness initiatives.”
